Virgin Rainbow0The world’s most beautiful opal called the Virgin Rainbow will be displayed in the South Australian Museum from Sep. 25 to Feb. 14. Its size is about 6.6 cm by 1.4 cm. It features a variety of colors, just like a rainbow, and it glows in the dark. The Virgin Rainbow opal is a shapeless, solid mineral called silica.

John Dunstan, a coal miner, found Virgin Rainbow in northern South Australia in 2003. “You’ll never see another piece like that one, it’s special,” he said, according to Tech Times. The museum’s director noted that the opal was made when dinosaurs lived.
